The Global Application Development Director is the strategic interface and has overall responsibility for planning, coordinating & supervising all activities related to the design, development, implementation (Incident, Service Request, Test & Release Management) for existing applications, including development and analysis, and DBA functions.
The Global Application Development Director manages multiple development teams supporting different products or lines of businesses, directs and guides the managers, reviews different project requests, providing and managing timeline and costs, communicating these on time to business stakeholders.
It is the Global Application Development Directors responsibility to drive Agile development processes across all teams and continuously own and improve the process itself for software lifecycle management and automation.
The Global Application Development Director works as part of the overall IT Service Delivery Team to develop, distribute, support, enforce, and integrate best practices and technology standards across the organization.
Works with the Head of Service Delivery and CTO to creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-functions and develops budgets, policies, procedures to support the functional infrastructure inline within the overall Company and IT Strategy.

Key Qualifications

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
Breadth: Typically, has more than 10 years of application development experience, the last 5 of which will have been in a leadership position managing cross functional, global teams of developers & DBA’s. Minimum of 5 years previous work experience in an outsourcing or BPO environment.
