Be Part of the Growing Manila team as a Senior Accountant under the business of a Real Estate/Property industry in Australia!
Work Location: Wynsum Corporate Plaza, Ortigas Pasig
Work Schedule: Dayshift (6AM/7AM start - 3PM/4PM out)
Work Setup: Fully Onsite
About the role
Key responsibilities are:
- Reports to the Financial Controller
- 2IC to the Financial Controller, in their absence.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and reports for the financial controller to review - this will be for multiple entities (including presenting finalised balance sheet, profit & loss) at a reasonable timeframe.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and P&L each month.
- Actively involved in half year and full year audit including liaising with auditors.
- Work with the other team members in Manila and Australia (for accurate reporting)
- Regular ledger maintenance.
- Preparation of quarterly compliance calculations.
- Assist FC with budgeting and forecasting process.
- Actively involved in improving finance processes and ways of making processes more efficient.
- Liaise with external and internal senior stakeholders.
About you
This role requires a professional, confident, and highly organised person. To be successful in this fast-paced role, you will possess the following:
- Job-specific skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Min of 4-5 years of Australian accounting experience
- Experience in Real Estate/Property industry is a MUST.
- Solid technical understanding of financial accounting and reporting
- Good understanding of Australian accounting standards and system (GST, income tax).
- Experience with Xero System is required.
- Solid knowledge of Office, especially Excel
- Inter-personal skills:
- Strong attention to detail, a mature positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent numerical skills.
- Ability to have their own structure and able to work autonomously as well as a team member.
- A team player who demonstrates enthusiasm and ethical behaviour and accountable for tasks performed.
- Ability to think “outside the box” while maintaining an unbiased, risk and analytically driven assessment of alternate options when decisioning applications.
