About the Role:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing the strategic roadmap for ECommerce and offline business in Philippines & nearby region, optimizing business operation models, and implementing key strategic initiatives to drive profitable growth of the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Develop Philippines with strategic plan and identify key initiatives to drive long-term profitable growth. Evaluate new/ local business model for E-commerce and offline markets, develop implementation plans and drive executions.
- Develop the e Commerce B2C and offline markets including key accounts business strategy based on deep understanding of online shopper insights, competitive landscape, strategic directions and focuses.
- Identify key e-Commerce B2C and offline markets including key accounts growth trends, develop programs to capitalize on the opportunities and drive the best customer experience. Lead the development of business plans including sales targets, channel expansion, new product launches, SKU mix optimization, pricing strategy and sales promotion plans.
Market Development
- Monitor and track the trends on key retailers, shoppers, customers, and category/industry, and provide insights that lead to ongoing strengthening of market position
- Work with marketing and trade marketing to develop annual plans on new product listing, merchandising programs and consumer promotions to drive market alignment for ECommerce and offline business.
E-Commerce Development
- Develop media strategy and implement programs in Search, Paid Media, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to drive traffic to flagship store, monitor ROI, and make real-time optimization within E-Commerce platforms.
- Work with E-Commerce content agency to develop and deploy social content and live broadcast to drive sales in flagship store
- Lead E-Commerce partners to develop and optimize flagship stores technical structure, navigation, design, content and pricing to improve conversion and basket size.
Customer Planning and Management
- Maintain strategic working relationship with distributors and key accounts and to gain market insights and to understand to influence overall direction
- Establish annual joint business plans (including sales targets, product, pricing, marketing, distribution strategies) with distributors and key accounts in Philippines and nearby region based on market insights and mutual commitments
- Conduct annual/quarterly/ monthly business review and analysis for key customers. Manage ROI on key project launching. Monitor, track and review performance of distributors and call attention to poor performance and take appropriate corrective actions.
Sales Administration
- Work with Customer Service team to improve order fulfillment
- Communicate sales forecasts within company including monthly, seasonal and annual plans
- Work with Finance to assure payments are within agreed terms and fully understood by both parties
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration or related discipline field.
- 10+ years’ experience in Consumer Product sales in Philippines
- Previous experience in distributor management and key account management is a must.
- Entrepreneurship/ passion to the business.
- Good strategic planning and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate consumer trends and formulate actionable customer programs through the use of data.
- Ability to lead and navigate through cross-functional areas internally and the customer level.
- Fluent in English.
