About the Role:
The District Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, managing and developing Medical Representatives within the assigned territory, and ensuring achievement of company sales targets. The role involves executing strategic sales initiatives, strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, and expanding market presence while maintaining compliance with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive achievement of district sales targets, growth objectives, and market share goals.
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Ensure effective implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional activities within the assigned district.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives to achieve individual and team targets.
- Conduct regular field coaching, joint visits, and performance evaluations.
- Identify training and development needs of team members to improve productivity and engagement.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure optimal territory coverage and efficient resource allocation across the district.
- Monitor competitor activities, market dynamics, and customer feedback to develop strategic action plans.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, territory reports, and performance updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Trade, and Supply Chain to support business objectives.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and medical activities as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of ethical pharmaceutical sales processes and industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales reporting tools.
- Willing to travel extensively within the assigned district.
