About the Role:
The Head of Legal will serve as the company’s chief legal advisor, providing strategic and operational legal leadership to support business growth, regulatory compliance, and risk management across manufacturing operations. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to ensure that legal strategies align with commercial objectives while safeguarding the organization’s interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Strategy & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on legal, regulatory, and corporate governance matters.
- Provide proactive legal guidance on business expansion, contracts, partnerships, and operational initiatives.
- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Corporate Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Philippine laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards relevant to manufacturing operations.

Oversee corporate housekeeping, permits, licenses, and statutory filings.

Establish and strengthen internal policies, compliance frameworks, and risk controls.
Contracts & Commercial Matters
- Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements, supplier contracts, distribution agreements, and service arrangements.
- Manage legal risks related to procurement, operations, and business transactions.
- Standardize contract templates and approval processes.
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
- Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Oversee litigation, labor disputes, and external counsel engagements.
- Manage investigations and ensure proper handling of legal claims.
Labor & Employment Law
- Provide guidance on labor relations, disciplinary actions, employee disputes, and compliance with labor regulations.
- Support HR in policy development and employee relations matters.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build and lead the legal function, including managing external law firms and advisors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance across the organization.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB/JD); Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing.
- Minimum 12–15 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or highly regulated environments.
- Proven leadership experience in an in-house legal or senior legal advisory role.
- Strong background in corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory law.
- Experience supporting operational or plant-based environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills.
