Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the COO, the Project Build Manager/Head is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of specified projects or regional projects in accordance with customer requirements, engineering and QHSE technical specifications/standards and to agreed timelines and budgets.
- Proactively drive and actively manage project planning (in conjunction with PMO), delivery, ensuring team are accurately tracking project milestones using company project management tools on a timely basis, and that mitigation plans are in place for any site at risk of missing forecast delivery.
- Deliver regular updates and reports to PMO and senior management, maintaining transparency and accountability regarding issues identification, mitigation, and resolution, supporting PMO if required on site related issues with customer.
- Responsible for end-to-end vendor management, from BOQ approval, through planning and PO issuance through build and delivery (including variation orders) ensuring risk management and mitigation are in place, addressing inquiries and issues promptly.
- Supervise daily build site activity, ensuring adherence to protocols, technical standards/specifications, and safety standards.
- Lead, directly manage and provide guidance and support to the project build team and vendors on site, optimizing productivity, performance and efficiency facilitating training/knowledge sharing sessions as required.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, working seamlessly and transparently across other departments (including Procurement, SAQ, D&E, Power, and O&M) facilitating updates and knowledge sharing to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Responsible for Quality and Safety on site, ensuring all works are completed to engineering and quality standards and in line with customer technical requirements.
- Manage project acceptance and documentation to ensure works completed on site in line with retrofitting plans, appropriate photos available for D&E implementation review (particularly important in context of retrofitting), vendors have required documentation to support billing and Documentation team have the documentation necessarily for customer RFI issuance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Build related activities (preferably with telecoms infrastructure experience) with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong understanding of Design, Engineering, Quality and Safety standards.
- AC and DC power knowledge and experience is highly advantageous
