Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager will oversee end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely movement of ice cream products from production to distribution. The role is responsible for warehouse management, inventory accuracy, transportation, and coordination with sales, production, and regulatory teams to maintain product quality and compliance with industry standards and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily logistics operations including warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution of ice cream products.
- Ensure efficient cold chain management and adherence to temperature control standards across storage and delivery processes.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize delivery performance, reduce costs, and enhance service efficiency.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to align dispatch schedules with demand forecasts.
- Supervise 3PL providers, transport partners, and warehouse staff to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock audits and system updates.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, route planning, and delivery documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA, BFAD, LTFRB, and local government permits related to product distribution and storage.
- Coordinate with headquarters (China and Indonesia) and external laboratories to obtain required certificates and test reports.
- Monitor and interpret updates in Philippine food product regulations and ensure company compliance.
- Lead internal audits and documentation related to logistics and warehousing compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation for food safety, traceability, and quality management in coordination with QA and Compliance teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements in logistics operations to support business growth.
- Prepare regular logistics performance reports and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage logistics budget, cost analysis, and vendor negotiations.
- Ensure staff training on safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG or cold chain industry (ice cream, dairy, frozen goods).
- Strong understanding of cold chain operations, inventory systems, and distribution planning.
- Familiarity with government permits and compliance processes related to product handling, transportation, and warehousing.
- Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
