Job Summary:
As a Market Territory Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive sales and brand awareness within your designated geographic territory. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the local market, and a passion for the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Development: Develop and implement strategies to expand our market presence within the assigned geographic territory.
Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities, prospecting new accounts, and nurturing existing relationships.
Account Management: Manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and other partners within the territory.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity within the territory to identify opportunities and threats.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our product offerings and effectively communicate their value to customers.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute territory-specific sales and marketing plans in alignment with company objectives.
Budget Management: Manage the territory budget effectively, optimizing spend to achieve maximum ROI.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to distributor and retailer teams to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.
Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, market insights, and territory activities to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in territory or regional sales management, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of the local market and consumer preferences within the designated territory.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and territory expansion goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
- Willingness to travel within the territory as needed.
