Network Security Engineer
Location: Taguig City, Philippines
Department: APAC IT Production – Telecom & Data Center (iNet)
Reports To: Team Leader, APAC IT Production
Position Purpose
Acts as an escalation point for technical issues across iNet technology platforms, working
closely with infrastructure teams to support project delivery, platform maintenance, and
change implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance firewall, load balancer, proxy, and DDI architectures, ensuring
accurate documentation
• Manage platform lifecycle (hardware/software) across supported technologies
• Troubleshoot firewall issues (access policies, NAT, routing)
• Support and resolve VPN issues (site-to-site and remote access)
• Handle load balancer operations (virtual servers, pools, nodes, protocol profiles)
• Manage internet access requests, including proxy whitelisting/blacklisting and policy
updates
• Troubleshoot internet access and proxy-related incidents
• Manage and support DNS/DHCP (DDI) requests and incidents
• Monitor systems and respond to alerts proactively
• Maintain asset inventory and ensure data accuracy through reconciliation
Contributing Responsibilities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
• Support team productivity and operational excellence
• Take initiative in adopting new responsibilities and improvements
Technical Requirements
Core Technologies (at least 2 required):
• Firewalls:
o Strong knowledge of firewall architecture, protocols, and network topologies
o Experience with Fortinet and Check Point
• Proxies:
o Understanding of HTTP, SSL/TLS, and proxy technologies
o Experience with SkyHigh and Bluecoat
• Load Balancing:
o Knowledge of load-balancing concepts (algorithms, GSLB, DNS-based LB)
o Experience with F5
• DNS/DHCP (DDI):
o Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM architectures
o Experience with Infoblox
• Remote Access:
o Knowledge of VPN protocols (IPSec, SSL)
o Experience with Cisco ASA / FTD
Additional Skills
• Monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, HPOO) and SNMP

Geoff Curran has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and over twenty years experience as a specialist recruitment practitioner. During that time he has worked with organizations to secure talent at the middle and senior levels.

Geoff began his recruitment career in Perth in the early 1980s. After several years with a national management consulting firm, he joined Arthur Andersen & Co. to establish its executive recruitment division.

In 1989, Geoff moved to Sydney and at Morgan and Banks specialized in recruiting for accounting and finance. He then spent two years in London, further developing his skills in this field. He returned to Sydney in 1994 and joined Margot Davis and Company, a recruitment consultancy which specialized in marketing, advertising, and marketing communications. He subsequently became a shareholder and a director in said business.

Geoff established Curran + Associates in 1998. His approach to executive recruitment and search is founded on several basic principles: knowledge gained through specialization, being relevant to both clients and candidates, and delivering outcomes quickly and efficiently.
