JOB TITLE : Specialist, Procurement
REPORTS TO : Procurement Manager (HQ)
LOCATION : Ortigas Center
EMPLOYMENT : Full time and On-site
Role Summary:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible with the company’s end-to-end procurement and vendor lifecycle and drives cost optimization. Further, the incumbent establishes strong supplier partnerships, negotiates favorable terms, and mitigates risks to support the company's operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management
- Partners with the Procurement Manager in designing, developing and establishing the company’s procurement policies, controls, and supplier audit practices.
- Conducts and leads regular vendor review and audit including vendor / supplier partner performance
- Builds strategic relationships, especially with critical suppliers, and develops a pipeline of vendors / suppliers.
- Leads vendor / supplier selection process, accreditation / onboarding, performance evaluation, and offboarding process (termination).
- Partners with the Procurement Manager in designing, developing and establishing the company’s procurement policies, controls, and supplier audit practices.
- Contract Management and Negotiation
- Leads negotiations to secure the best terms, service levels, and costs from suppliers.
- Collaborates and partners with the Legal, Finance, and the requesting department in reviewing and managing the contracts to ensure clarity, compliance, and enforceability.
- Department Operations
- Implements procurement activities ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborates and partners with the different departments for planning and execution of the company’s procurement strategy and operational delivery.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives.
- Risk and Compliance
- Identifies risks and creates mitigation strategies.
- Adheres and complies with legal, regulatory, and internal controls and standards to reduce corruption related risks and other possible internal and external financial losses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with at least 5 years specialization in Procurement and Vendor Management ideally in FMCG, fintech, digital lending, or fast-paced digital industries
- Tech-savvy and able to liaise with vendors across biometrics, anti-fraud, cybersecurity, and credit scoring fields.
- Fluent in English for daily business communication, negotiation and document review. Strong cost awareness, negotiation ability and risk control awareness.
- Experience in negotiating and managing large scale contracts and portfolio
