About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Davao-based plant. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, optimal resource utilization, product quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Production Manager will oversee production teams, manage operational performance, and collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to achieve business and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end plant production operations to ensure achievement of output, efficiency, and delivery targets.
- Develop and execute production plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Monitor daily production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operators.
- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
- Manage workforce scheduling, performance evaluations, and capability development.
- Promote employee engagement and continuous skills improvement.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, GMP (if applicable), and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain product consistency and reduce defects.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation
Process Improvement & Cost Efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies).
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize production costs.
- Support automation and process enhancement projects.
Safety & Maintenance Coordination
- Enforce strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
- Participate in preventive maintenance planning.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present production performance reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and plant operations.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willing to be based full-time in Davao City.
