About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production execution, optimizing operational performance, maintaining the highest quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in achieving production targets, developing high-performing teams, and supporting business growth through operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Operation Management
- Lead, manage, and oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery requirements are consistently achieved.
- Develop and implement production plans that maximize efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Monitor production performance, analyze operational data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure smooth production flow by effectively managing manpower, equipment, materials, and production schedules.
- Conduct regular production floor inspections to maintain operational discipline and address issues proactively.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve operational objectives and performance goals.
- Manage workforce planning, shift schedules, attendance, and manpower allocation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Support the development and execution of training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistent product quality and operational reliability.
- Investigate production deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, cost optimization, and process improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or other operational excellence methodologies.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency, product quality, and overall plant performance.
- Support automation, process enhancement, and innovation initiatives within the manufacturing operation.
Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present regular production performance reports, including key operational metrics, achievements, challenges, and improvement plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Human Resources, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to initiatives that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or plant operations within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Proven experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, and operational controls.
- Experience driving productivity improvements and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar methodologies is an advantage.
- Professional license in Engineering or Food Technology is an advantage but not required.
