Our esteemed client, a renowned luxury watch designer and manufacturer headquartered in Switzerland, is actively seeking a Retail Trainer to join their team in the Philippines.

Company set-up:
- Based in Makati
- Day shift ( M-F 8:30AM – 5:30PM)

WORK SCOPE:
TRAINING
- Deliver training to external staff through different channels, including classroom training, virtual training, onsite coaching & e-learning portal to cover brand and product knowledge, customer service and selling skills;
- Conduct or support internal training programs such as on-boarding and new employee orientation;
- Prepare the reporting of all training administrations, update & maintain training records database;
- Arrange logistic arrangement for all training programs by communicating closely with relevant parties;
- Provide support for post-training evaluation and follow-ups;
- Work closely with Internal Training Team to support ad hoc projects if necessary.
RETAILER/STORE VISITS
- Support management as point of contact between our brand (Rolex/Tudor) and retailer’POS.
- Visit each POS regularly in person and document via company systems each visit with a report and specific action-points that require action or follow-up.
- Ensure that each store visit serves as an opportunity to correct inconsistences and train the front-line teams in any aspects deemed necessary.
- Monitor and observe customer interactions on the boutique floors and debrief the store managers by sharing strengths and areas for improvement against product knowledge, customer service and selling skills;
- Ensure brand image is demonstrated on the sales floor including but not limited to grooming, etiquette in serving customers, visual merchandising standards etc.;
COMMUNICATION - ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION
- Drive and coordinate marketing events in retail centres as well as in-store promotions to maximize brand exposure and drive sell-out.
MYSTERY SHOPPING (MS)
- Identify training needs for each POS, establish and execute appropriate training programs through coordination/cooperation with retailers and internal training team, with the aim to improve retailers’ operational performance, customer service and to achieve perfect brand representation.
- Work closely with each POS to ensure continuous improvement of its MS scores.
VISUAL MERCHANDISING
- Ensure perfect product merchandising by providing training and hands-on corrections at the POS, keep persistent follow-ups according to company guidelines.
- Check regularly inventory and condition of display materials, furniture and fixtures of each POS, and ensure replacement, maintenance and return is executed in a timely manner.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for external retailer and internal staff training as well as training database maintenance
- Present a professional image of the company and the commercial training to all parties in contact
- Support fully the commercial team
- Constantly maintain communication with POS in the markets of duty, through regular visits & meetings, to translate company plans & guidelines
- Guide (through harnessing of all possible tools) retail operations on jobs related to brand presentation, service enhancement, etc.;
- Facilitate and coordinate retailers’ service, marketing & promotional activities according to company policies and guidelines;
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years in-house training experience preferably in luxury retail or hospitality industry;
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Good presentation & inter-personal skills to build rapport and effective communication with stakeholders and staff at all levels;
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize
- Have a thorough and contemporary understanding of e-learning technologies;
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others
- Experience in conducting classroom and virtual training with solid understanding of training processes and practices
- Good command of Microsoft Office Power Point, Word and Excel
- Industrial know-how, and good understanding of premium retail operations => this can be optional if the market doesn’t have much talents in this area.
