Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed PV system designs, including:
- Panel layout and system configuration
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- DC and AC cable routing and sizing
- Inverter sizing and string configuration
- Perform energy yield simulations and shading analysis using industry tools
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and support cost estimation for projects
- Optimize system designs to improve performance, efficiency, and overall project value (e.g., yield, cost, capacity)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, project managers, and engineers) across different regions
- Review and validate design outputs to ensure quality and compliance with standards
- Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Ensure all designs comply with company standards, safety regulations, and local codes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or Architecture
- At least 3–4 years of experience in engineering design, with a minimum of 2 years in solar PV design
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office tools
- Experience with solar design software such as PVSyst (Helioscope or similar tools are a plus)
- Solid understanding of PV system design, including layouts, electrical design, and performance analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and collaboration skills, especially in a global team setting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
