Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist the PH Finance Controller in managing operations finance reporting, including manufacturing cost analysis, annual budgeting, and other financial performance assessments.
  • Product Costing and Asset Management: Oversee product costing and asset control activities, such as annual standard cost roll, cycle counts, WIP counts, and fixed asset control.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure statutory reporting and tax compliance for the PH entity, including preparation and filing of income tax, withholding tax, VAT, and fringe benefits tax returns. Support year-end audits.
  • Accounting Operations Oversight: Partner with external accounting providers to manage PH entity accounting tasks, including R2R (record-to-report) and PTP (procure-to-pay) processes.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process enhancements for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Over 3 years of experience as a Finance Analyst with a strong background in tax payment management, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance, particularly with BIR and SEC requirements.
  • Operational Expertise: Demonstrated ability to support day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable, and cash forecasting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and practices; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Geoff Curran has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and over twenty years experience as a specialist recruitment practitioner. During that time he has worked with organizations to secure talent at the middle and senior levels.

Geoff began his recruitment career in Perth in the early 1980s. After several years with a national management consulting firm, he joined Arthur Andersen & Co. to establish its executive recruitment division.

In 1989, Geoff moved to Sydney and at Morgan and Banks specialized in recruiting for accounting and finance. He then spent two years in London, further developing his skills in this field. He returned to Sydney in 1994 and joined Margot Davis and Company, a recruitment consultancy which specialized in marketing, advertising, and marketing communications. He subsequently became a shareholder and a director in said business.

Geoff established Curran + Associates in 1998. His approach to executive recruitment and search is founded on several basic principles: knowledge gained through specialization, being relevant to both clients and candidates, and delivering outcomes quickly and efficiently.
