Our client are a global leader in measurement instrumentation, automation technology, services and solutions for industrial process engineering and laboratory applications.

 

Headquartered in Europe, they have a global workforce of around 16,000 represented in more than 100 countries via a combination of both in-country operations and representative presence.

 

They have had a presence in the Philippines since 2004, established a fully functioning entity in 2020, and are now 16 members of staff in their BGC operation.

 

Having grown both the Philippine sales and project teams, the company have recognized the need to establish a 2nd line of management, hence the creation of this new role in the company.

 

The Head of Sales, which will report directly the Philippines Country Manager (who is based in Manila), will be a brand ambassador for the organisation, and will lead their team by setting an example, in line with the spirit and brand values of the organisation, namely excellence, commitment, friendliness, and sustainability.

 

Applicants will need to come with seasoned sales experience and a strong technical background, ideally someone with previous experience in technical selling in the Philippine market.

 

You will be very much at ease working with autonomy, have previous experience working for a multi-national company based in the Philippines, and have first rate people leadership skills, someone with a passion for growing/driving teams towards high performance, someone who leads by example and inspires their team to follow suit.

 

Candidates need meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in related fields
  • A minimum of 15yrs working experience
  • Seasoned sales experience, with a minimum of 5yrs of industrial selling experiences
  • Previous experience working in a multi-national company based in the Philippines
  • Previous experience in process automation would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities, with a passion for coaching, mentoring and driving teams towards high performance, someone leads by example and inspires
  • A hands on/roll the sleeves up operator, doing whatever is necessary to meet targets, with excellent attention to details
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
  • Willing to work flexible working hours/schedules as and when the role demands
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally as and when the needs of the role and/or business demands
  • Native speaker of Filipino, with excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) in English.

 

Additional Role information:

  • Standard day shift (occasional flexibility will be necessary to meet the global demands of the company)
  • Based in BGC, Metro Manila
  • Working arrangement is a 20% hybrid set up (i.e. 4 days working from home per calendar month)
  • This is a new role
  • Reporting to Country Manager (based in Manila)
  • Responsible for 8 FTE’s
  • The role will come with an attractive base package which includes a sales based variable component
  • There will be a minimum of 4 interviews in the recruitment process
