Engineering and Design Manager
Report to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish design requirements, objectives, schedules, and budgets. Develop comprehensive project plans to guide engineering and design activities.
- Provide direction and guidance in the conceptualization, development, and refinement of project designs. Ensure that designs adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between engineering, design, and construction teams. Resolve design-related conflicts and issues promptly to maintain project progress.
- Implement robust quality control measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in design documentation. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify and address any deficiencies.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, software tools, and equipment, to support engineering and design activities. Optimize resource utilization to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with design decisions. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and ensure timely delivery.
- Stay updated on relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that project designs comply with all applicable requirements and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Explore and implement innovative technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design processes. Leverage advanced software solutions such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM to optimize design workflows.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations regarding project designs. Provide regular updates, solicit feedback, and address client concerns to ensure satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design methodologies, processes, and outcomes. Encourage innovation and creativity within the engineering and design team to achieve optimal results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering and Design Experience for minimum of 10 years
- Education / Training Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- License / Accreditation Licensed Professional
