Our client is a major international multi-energy company and is developing a range of renewables, which will play a key role in the energy system of tomorrow.

They are currently seeking to appoint a Subject Matter Expert (SME), Performance Engineering.

The Performance Engineering team collaborates on cross-functional processes to provide the highest levels of maintenance and asset management for commercial, industrial and utility scale solar facilities.

The SME will work on North American Shift for live collaboration with team members and  stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • The SME serves as a definitive source of knowledge & technique of solar facility maintenance and asset management.
  • As part of daily operations. provides guidance to the Performance Engineering Team in maintaining excellent support to commercial customers and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for overall workforce management, ticket management through the available CMMS Tools.
  • Responsible in ensuring appropriate tools and trainings are provided to the team to deliver results effectively.
  • Imparts training to the newly onboarded member in the team.
  • Directly influences and guides the team to develop discipline and drives compliance of company policy, process and guidelines.
  • Keeps process documents and work instructions up to date.
  • Serves as point of contact in the absence of a manager or lead.
  • Effectively conducts shadowing, coaching, mentoring to the team and provide performance feedback.
  • Communicates to team members any new requirements, changes, updates on all support related information.
  • Helps ensure that all “tools of the trade” for each team member is working and all issues are communicated to Digital/helpdesk for

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced understanding of PV technology, solar power, power generation, data acquisition
  • Experienced in any Ticket Management Platform, and familiar in any CMMS platform
  • Ability to demonstrate a responsive, customer service approach to listening and responding to requests
  • Ability to communicate the status of work activities and issues with peers and management as they relate to projects and tasks
  • Advanced knowledge of Performance Analysis Tools (e.g. PowerFactors, AlsoEnergy, PI Processbook)
